Our identity is our qualities, beliefs, personality or characteristics that distinguish us or set us apart. Our identity in Christ is what set us apart from the rest of the world.
⦁ I am the salt of the earth - Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. - Matthew 5:13
⦁ I am the light of the world - Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. - Matthew 5:14
⦁ I am a servant of righteousness - Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. - Romans 6:18
⦁ I am more than a conqueror - Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. - Romans 8:37
⦁ I am the temple of God his spirit lives in me - Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? - 1 Corinthians 3:16
⦁ I am washed, justified and sanctified by the spirit of God - And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. - 1 Corinthians 6:11
⦁ I am an ambassador for Christ - Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. - 2 Corinthians 5:20
When we live our lives based on our identity in Christ it gives us a chance to experience Gods love in new ways.
