1. He is an unchanging God - Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. - Hebrews 13:8
2. He never lies - God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? - Numbers 23:19
3. He is faithful - If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. - 2 Timothy 2:13
4. He is wise - Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. - 1 Timothy 1:17
5. He is all-powerful - Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. - Isaiah 40:28
6. He never leaves me - Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. - Psalms 139:7-10
7. He is all-knowing - for if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. - 1 John 3:20
8. He is Good - O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. - Psalms 34:8
9. He is merciful - But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. - Psalm 86:15
10. He loves me - Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of [a]God! Therefore the world does not know [b]us, because it did not know Him. - 1 John 3:1
And if that's not reason enough His words commanded it:
Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Psalm 37:5 - Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
