Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. - Psalms 46:10
take a minute and reflect on this verse!
The phrase "BE STILL" here means to settle, to be calm, or to be peaceful the verse however means to give your complete attention to God.
But lets be honest most of us have an extremely hard time grasping/living this concept "BE STILL", we tend to get easily distracted by the world and its problems.
We've all face situations were our world begins to spin out of control and during that time being still is the last thing on our minds.
So then how can we be still in the midst of trials:
Hold your peace.
"The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. - Exodus 14:14".
Stop what you are doing and focus on God
“Now therefore stand and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes.” -1 Samuel 12:16.
Wait patiently and trust in the Lord.
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." - Isaiah 40:31
Remember:
God is our refuge and our strength, a present help in times of trouble so lets not worry about what's happening and what's not happening close out all distraction and concentrate on God, BE STILL.
